DNS
- Point
tools.meghlycloud.comto the panel server with an A record. - Point
check.meghlycloud.comto the same server with an A record. Add an MX record forcheck.meghlycloud.comwith priority 10 pointing to the configured mail host. Keep the mail host's normal Postfix/Dovecot DNS and TLS setup in place. - Ensure HTTPS is issued for both hostnames by the existing edge proxy.
Environment
Set these values in the deployment environment (never commit secrets):
| Variable | Purpose |
|---|---|
TOOLS_DOMAIN | Public tools site, tools.meghlycloud.com |
TOOLS_CHECK_DOMAIN | One-time test inbox domain, check.meghlycloud.com |
TOOLS_CHECK_INBOX_PASSWORD | Strong dedicated password for the check inbox |
TURNSTILE_SITE_KEY / TURNSTILE_SECRET_KEY | Optional Cloudflare Turnstile signup protection |
SPAMHAUS_DQS_KEY | Optional licensed Spamhaus DQS key |
The variables are listed in .env.example and passed through both compose files. After changing DNS or environment values, the owner applies the deployment through the normal release process; do not run compose on the production server as an agent.
Spamhaus DQS stays disabled without a key. Before adding one, the owner must confirm the applicable license and terms. Do not put a key in source control, logs or documentation.
Credits
Credits are consumed by verifier checks and spam reports. Any owner-granted extra credits must go through the authorized app-side IToolCredits.GrantAsync operation with reason admin_adjust and a reference ID so the ledger remains auditable. There is no customer-facing credit adjustment endpoint.
See Free email tools for user-facing behavior and retention.
